Planters Seed and Spice Company located in Kansas City’s River Market area is a long time city treasure.  A great place for all things gardening as well as herbs, spices, spice blends and much more.

Missouri Organics accepts the waste from Kansas City citizen’s lawns, gardens, tree trimmings, and food residuals and turns it into rich compost, soil blends, and mulches.  A great resource right next to the Chouteau Bridge by the Missouri River.

The Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City support numerous Community projects throughout the Kansas City area and provide a gardening Hotline at multiple locations, Speakers Bureau, and educational training to the public via a Spring Seminar, Advanced Training sessions, and bimonthly Gardeners’ Gatherings.

KC Grow is a $100,000 grant program sponsored by the City of Kansas City, Mo and administered by Kansas City Community Gardens, with technical assistance from Kansas City Community Gardens and Cultivate Kansas City. This program assists community gardens and farms in Kansas City, Mo.

Cultivate KC, a locally-grown non-profit working to grow food, farms and communities for a healthy local food system. A collective of educators, trainers, facilitators and organizers. They work to help growers develop skills and access resources to start sustainable farm businesses on Kansas City’s vacant land.
